Born inside the walls of Red Dot Fitness, the Iron Sights Podcast was originally created to serve clients and offer free, no-nonsense health and fitness information. Hosted by Scott Howell, a lifelong coach and strength professional, the show began as a tool to empower everyday people with better strategies for training, nutrition, and performance.
After years of working with first responders and law enforcement professionals, Scott saw a major gap: the fitness industry and the tactical world weren’t speaking the same language—despite sharing the same physical demands and human challenges. Most civilians don’t understand what LEOs go through. And most first responders don’t have access to high-quality, actionable fitness education.
That’s what sparked After Dark —an honest series of conversations that explores the mindset, training, and mission-driven values of warriors, leaders, and protectors. It wasn’t part of the original plan—but it’s what put the show on the map.
